Furniture Export Logistics from Turkey | Shipment Coordination for Project and Wholesale Buyers
How We Ship
TurkFurnish coordinates export shipment of hotel furniture, contract FF&E, office systems, retail furniture, and custom pieces from Turkish manufacturing clusters in İnegöl, Kayseri, and Istanbul to project sites and distribution centres worldwide. Shipments are planned around project timelines, installation phasing, and destination port requirements. Buyers receive a complete shipment plan covering container configuration, transit time, and freight cost estimate alongside the product quotation.
Packaging and Loading for Furniture Export
Furniture export requires packaging and loading procedures matched to the product category and the buyer's site conditions. TurkFurnish coordinates the following loading approaches depending on the product type and order configuration.
Flat-pack and knock-down furniture is loaded in export cartons on pallets maximising container utilisation and minimising per-unit freight cost. Fully assembled hospitality pieces including upholstered seating, headboards, and case goods are packed in custom-built wooden crates with reinforced corner protection and moisture-barrier wrapping. Mixed shipments combining flat-pack and assembled pieces use compartmentalised container loading with blocking and bracing to prevent movement during transit. White-glove loading protocols are applied to high-value or high-gloss finished pieces requiring surface protection throughout transit.
Transit Times and Export Routes
TurkFurnish ships from Istanbul, İnegöl via Bursa, and Mersin depending on production facility location and destination market.
Road freight to Central and Eastern Europe runs 3 to 6 days from İnegöl and Kayseri production clusters. Sea freight to Northern Europe runs 7 to 12 days from Istanbul. Sea freight to the US East Coast runs approximately 18 to 22 days from Istanbul or Mersin. Sea freight to Gulf destinations runs approximately 7 to 10 days from Mersin. Air freight is available for urgent samples or small volume components.
Incoterms and Delivery Options
TurkFurnish supplies on FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP, and DDP terms. EU buyers can receive DDP delivery with import duty removed under Turkey's Customs Union arrangements. A.TR movement certificates are prepared for all EU-bound shipments to confirm Customs Union eligibility.
For hospitality project buyers requiring phased delivery to a construction site or FF&E installation schedule, delivery windows and phasing plans are confirmed at order stage. For wholesale and retail buyers requiring delivery to a named warehouse or distribution centre, DAP and DDP terms are available with customs clearance coordination from the Turkish side.
LCL Consolidation for Smaller Orders
Buyers sourcing smaller volumes or placing initial sample orders benefit from LCL consolidation through TurkFurnish's freight network. LCL allows buyers to ship less than a full container at competitive rates by consolidating cargo with other compatible shipments from the same port.
LCL is particularly suited to boutique hotel projects, initial wholesale orders, and showroom sample programs where full container volumes are not required at the outset. Consolidation availability and lead times are confirmed at quotation stage.
Export Documentation
Standard export documentation prepared for every TurkFurnish shipment includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and A.TR movement certificate for EU-bound cargo. FSC chain-of-custody certificates, E1 emission test reports, and fire test certificates are included in the product documentation package where applicable.
For project buyers requiring specific customs documentation, import compliance records, or destination-specific certificates, requirements should be confirmed at inquiry stage.
